Rare pair of armchairs 1970

Very rare pair of black lay chairs attributed to Jean-Claude Mahey. The asian-inspired black laqué wood structure is typical of mahey's production and 1970s french chic. The seats and folders have been retaped with a beautiful jacquard fabric that melds black with beige and gold by the italian publisher dedar - a reference chérie. Chairs of a very beautiful presence, which will marry with both vintage and contemporary. They are of a beautiful quality of manufacture, robust, and very decorative. Some traces of use on the lasca.
