Vintage design. Folding rocking chair based on a drawing by Japanese designer Takeshi Nii from the 1960s. A rare design object with a sophisticated function. The elegantly curved and ergonomic shape of the seat in the profile of the rocking chair, which can be found in many of NII's designs, is remarkable. The seat is made of faux leather and is upholstered. The appearance of the stitching resembles a simple ornament on the seat. The feet are made of wood. The armrests, on the other hand, are made of black plastic, which can be seen in the context of the design era. The folding mechanism is smooth and works perfectly. It is only 18 cm wide when folded. Due to its functional folding mechanism, it is also used in the context of space travel. Astronauts returning from the International Space Station are seated in this chair after their exit from the Kazakh steppe.
