This pitcher signed Nigon weighs approximately 1.6 kg for a height of 22 cm. It fits in a volume of 23 × 28 × 14 cm. The finely stylized features of a female face and buttons drawn on a very traditional babushka shape are enough to allow one to see an anthropomorphic pitcher... In their workshop, Jean-Louis Nigon and Monique Lesbroussart produce stoneware fired in a gas kiln at 1300° with the raw material that they will extract from the village woods and that they sift, prepare and store in their cellar. In addition to the engraved glazed, the production of stoneware is both traditional with forms taken from the 18th and 19th centuries (toad salting tub, pitcher) and more modern. The glazed pottery, engraved according to the tradition of the village potters in the 16th century, is fired in an electric kiln at 1000°. Having learned — to my cost — that in the event of breakage, it is necessary to have opened the package at the receiving relay to have the agent note any possible damage due to the journey, I would like you to do so, failing which I will not assume the possible consequences of breakage (knowing that fragile items are always prepared in two boxes for their delivery to you.).
