Extendable table in solid oiled elm from the Vendée collection by Roland Hauesler for Maison REGAIN, 1970. One support leg folds under the table. Dovetail construction, a guarantee of quality and sturdiness. A French publisher from the 1960s to the 1980s, Maison REGAIN represents artisanal excellence. Rather than centralising production in a soulless factory, the company had its pieces made in various workshops across France, ensuring collaboration with the best craftsmen in each specialty. While the brand took precedence over ego, one name deserves to be remembered: Roland Haeusler. He designed the majority of these architectural lines, massive yet so gentle, that characterise the Regain style. Good overall condition (slight signs of use) Length 150 X 90 cm + 2 extensions of 50 cm each, totalling 250 cm. Height 73 cm. (You can find the X 6 straw chairs from MAISON Regain on the website).
