Antique hand-carved console circa 1880 with a marble top.

We are delighted to offer this beautiful antique low console from around 1880, hand-carved and painted, with an Italian marble top and pillar legs featuring griffin representations. The top is made of Carrara marble, bevelled around the griffin heads. The console is made of solid carved oak, finished in an antique teal paint. The condition is good and consistent with its age, the paint has aged gracefully and the marble top is clean with a slight patina. Dimensions: height 54 cm, width 100 cm, depth 33 cm.
