Lalique crystal vase with grape decoration Malaga 1937

1937, the modernist movement of Art Deco. René Lalique designed this delightful and very elegant vase with moulded grapes in heavy, brilliant crystal that made him famous. Stylised clusters of grapes with 20 berries and vine branches, moulded in high relief, surround this small vase with perfect proportions like wallpaper, at a regular rhythm. Between two bouquets of garden roses or large peonies or daisies with yellow centres, it willingly returns to the table service at the end of summer when fruit is served. Height 14.4 cm. Diameter 12.4 cm. In perfect condition with scratches under the base, signed in acid "Lalique Cristal France."
