A unique design close to Art Deco for this Ophelia ambient lamp by Georgia Jacob. It is an ivory-coloured resin lamp. It is in generally good condition (no scratches or dents). The lampshade is shaped like a draped corolla. To achieve the undulating shape that gives it its originality and specificity, a piece of fabric was dipped in resin, creating lovely swirling and draped effects. This "Ophelia" lamp was designed by Georgia Jacob and produced in France in the 1970s. It was inspired by the shape of a suspended handkerchief or a flaming torch. It features a white marble base and a blue-grey resin shade. Once lit, it emits a soft light to create a beautiful, subdued atmosphere in the spirit of the Belle Époque. The signature that was on the base has faded over time and with successive cleanings. Base diameter: 10 cm.
