Antique wall mirror in carved and gilded wood, with rich rococo decoration in the Louis XV style. The openwork frame combines acanthus scrolls, shells, flowers, and palmettes, with a particularly intricate composition at the pediment and lower part. The old gilding has a warm patina with wear and touch-ups revealing the wood in places. The mirror retains an old silvering that is heavily pitted and mottled, a characteristic that enhances its decorative aspect. The frame shows several cracks, small losses, chips of gilding, and signs of use visible in the photographs, without altering the overall appearance of the piece. The back is made of old wood with inscriptions and a handwritten label, as well as a metal suspension system. Dimensions: 98 cm in height × 57 cm in width. Likely from the 19th century, in the style of baroque and rococo mirrors from the 18th century.
