Osvald axel bernhard schalin, born february 21, 1897 in malmö, died there may 29, 1975, was a swedish painter. He was the brother of hartvig schalin. He studied at the skanska painting school in malmö and privately with some local artists. He participated in group exhibitions with the art society skåne and was represented at the exhibition of the art society VI at malmö town hall. His art consists of still lifes and landscapes with port motifs and fishermen's huts made in oil technique.
