An iconic piece of Dutch Scandinavian design from the late 1960s. This "Liverpool" model is distinguished by its tiered opaline glass diffuser, providing soft light and a very characteristic graphic silhouette. The contrast with the solid teak cone highlights the Scandinavian elegance typical of Louis Kalff's work. At that time, he was in charge of the Philips design office and is even the creator of the famous brand logo, which can be found here stamped in the pavilion. Listed in the Philips catalogue of 1968 under the name Liverpool. Rare condition, the entire piece is completely original, with no defects, and the electrical wiring has been redone. Original functional B22 socket, B22 LED bulb. Height without the cord is 34cm, diameter 23cm.
