✨️ The architectural elegance of the 1940s is fully expressed through this low sideboard made of stained solid oak, whose geometric design and mastery of volumes immediately evoke the iconic creations of Charles Dudouyt. ✨️ Its façade, rigorously symmetrical, showcases remarkable wood sculpting work: ✨️ The side doors feature powerful panels with geometric raised frames, centred by an imposing circular, convex medallion made of turned wood. ✨️ The central section houses four stacked drawers, with handles carved from the mass and enhanced by finely chiselled vertical flutes. ✨️ The structure rests on an overhanging top and a moulded belt, supported by elegantly curved legs. The original patinated brass hardware discreetly highlights the lines of the locks and vertical fittings. ✨️ A centrepiece with a strong charisma, combining the power of patinated oak with the sobriety of French design from the Reconstruction. The sideboard is in very good condition, with only two small chips behind the two front legs, visible in the photos. Please feel free to contact me for additional information.
