Mid-Century Italian Spider 291 Table Lamp by Joe Colombo for Oluce, 1960s

A classic design by Oluce, created by Joe Colombo in the 1960s. Here is an earlier version with the original bayonet fitting and in the rare red colour. The lamp head is made of a bent metal element and is interrupted by cutouts. The head can be adjusted in height and tilted within a certain range, secured by a plastic screw. The push-button switch is located at the back of the head. The finely crafted stem is made of chrome and flares out in a trumpet shape at the bottom with a visible cable. The colour of the lamp head is reflected in the heavy base plate. The upper opening of the shade is suitable for a Cornalux bulb, available in LED. Vintage design, in very good condition with slight signs of use.
