A pair of vintage Finnish lounge chairs from the 1950s, fully restored and reupholstered in grey mohair velvet by Rose Uniacke. The design is simple and elegant, with clean lines and gently curved arms. The proportions are balanced and understated, giving the chairs a distinctive Scandinavian character. The grey mohair velvet has a soft, dense pile with natural variation that catches the light across the surface. The original upholstery was removed, and the seats rebuilt with new padding and a fresh calico base beneath the final fabric. The birch legs have been cleaned, lightly stripped and French polished to bring out the warmth of the timber while retaining their age and character.
