Tea cabinet - Japan Vintage 1950

Tea cabinet (chadansu) in veneer wood on the façade. The studs and tray in solid, glowing hue. Two small side shelves on the right, connected by a piece of work branch. (poetic allusion to this wood species always present in the tea ceremony). Compartment on the left with glass gate, with corner in work wood. Two large sliding glass doors. In the upper part shelf with four small sliding doors. In the lower part two drawers. The furniture is fully studded. Around 1910-30 - taisho period or early showa. This vintage piece of furniture therefore has wear, shocks - small scratches - cracks on the slides, low scratches of the right pillar - scratched varnish lower part and drawers - the inner gate rubs at the opening. A tassel is missing on the lower right gate. Its sober style suggests that it is a piece of furniture intended for the japanese domestic market. This piece of furniture is functional and usable.
