Handwoven old Romanian rug, black background with big roses

Beautiful handmade carpet, wool tinted using traditional methods in south romania. The floral design is very sweet, big colorful roses. It was never used, in good conditions. Not very thick, can be used as a rug (preferably with a rug pad) or bed cover. I grown up with this: every winter, at my grandmother' s house, women from the village, neighbors and relatives, spend the evenings and those long winter nights together, working on beautiful wool carpets or other handmade items. This is our story.
