Wooden crate box 46.2x19.3cm with compartments

Old box that must have had a very specific use given the numerical indications written in the stencil... Different types of wood: plane tree, beech, fruit tree (cherry or plum) plywood bottom. It closes on three hinges with a latch at the front. Opens onto 8 compartments, one of which is divided into two and a central compartment at the front of half height, it lifts up and a sliding plate opens onto 6 new smaller compartments. Old traces of wood-eating insects obviously treated. 46.2cm wide, 19.3cm deep and 9.5cm high. Weight: 2.2kg. Ref 618
