Bunho side table

Entirely handmade by an artisan in Portugal, this side table is unique and crafted exclusively from Portuguese straw, a rare plant that grows in the still waters around the lakes of the Santarém region. Today, this material is becoming increasingly difficult to harvest due to shortages linked to climate change, making each piece even more precious. Its creation requires over 20 hours of meticulous work, integrated into a handcrafted process that extends over a month, including drying time. Full of character, this table can be used as a side table, bedside table, or small coffee table. It can also be placed outdoors, but prefers to remain sheltered: rain is not its friend.
