Egyptian chat style Bastet seated in dark patina bronze, 20th century.

Very beautiful and rare hollow bronze sculpture of a sitting cat with a beautiful dark patina, inspired by Egyptian art, evoking representations of the goddess Bastet. Work from the 20th century, 1970s-1980s. Elegant and slender silhouette, with large upright ears, a long neck, and straight front legs. The tail wraps around the legs, complementing the simple lines of the body. A slightly irregular modeling enlivens the surface and catches the light. Not signed. 32cm in height, 11cm in width, and approximately 20cm in depth. Very good overall condition, nothing notable. 2.315kg.
