Vintage round coffee table in sun veneer – W. Germany, an

Very beautiful vintage round coffee table of German origin, dating presumably from the late 1950s or 1960s. Its top, with a diameter of 89 cm, features a remarkable wood veneer arranged in rays from the centre, creating an elegant sunburst design that is particularly graphic. It rests on four slender, tapered golden metal legs, slightly angled, ending in small circular pads. The mounting plates under the top are marked "W. Germany, " indicating West Germany. A very decorative piece, representative of post-war European modernist furniture, with a light and elegant line. The table is preserved in its original vintage condition. The top shows various signs of use consistent with its age: scratches, small dents, marks, and occasional wear of the varnish, visible in the photographs. The radiating design remains very aesthetic.
