Set of 6 antique flat plates Gien – Terre de Fer – Bengal model

Very nice set of 6 antique flat plates made of ironstone from the Gien factory, Bengal model. A superb blue decoration, very fine and graphic, arranged around the entire edge of the plates, combined with a beautiful patinated ivory hue. The whole set is particularly harmonious and presents a uniform patina. The Bengal model is now quite rare and poorly documented. Each plate bears the stamp on the back: Opaque porcelain of Gien – Ironstone – Bengal. Antique condition with visible signs of age in the photos: one plate has a small non-through hairline on the front. Three plates have chips on the back, one of which has two chips. There are also some glaze cracks, small marks, patina, and signs of use related to age. The other plates are in generally good condition. Despite these flaws, the whole set remains very decorative and perfectly homogeneous. Dimensions of one plate: Diameter: 23.5 cm. Height: 2.5 cm. Total weight: 2.75 kg.
