"arnaud! You're so handsome, so strong. I like your lines, your body. Marry me!" But no, arnaud is the name of the french publisher of this teck furniture designed in the 1960s in collaboration with designer louis paolozzi. Arnaud is also the monopoly company created in 1953 to disseminate the concept of "furniture by elements". highly inspired by scandinavian design, this living-library-window-buffet is an example of the modular furniture in vogue at the time and which revolutionized the art of living, receiving and furnishing offices. on the basis of a two-door and three-drawer line, this piece of furniture is therefore flexible by the addition of elements. And the wish of its previous owner was to add a small library surmounted by a shop window with a large door to the left to conceal a storage with 3 shelves. This living room furniture also has a singular aesthetic detail since its grip buttons are also teck, square in shape and that of the door rotates like a valve. Finally, its easy and solid assembly system does not reveal any attachment elements. Its construction is a breeze (for the user) and a real engineering treat for the designer. Finally, its minimalist design, ultra-clean geometric shape on an original grey lase steel footing, carries this gifted piece of furniture from an era that "under 20s cannot know" in our 2020's. And rare detail, the exceptional design quality of arnaud allows use in the center of room since its back in teck is as beautiful as its façade! Inside, the crimping calves are stamped arnaud s.g.d.g...ecusson ameublement 37 nf. Closing the door by magnet. very heavy furniture, delivered disassembled. Note: a lack of veneer at an angle and a small lack at the top of the door (see photos). Dimensions (cm): l180 X p46 (enfilade) and p29 (upper part). Total height 176 and 76 (enfilade).
