3539 – 3538 - enamelled carafe – in the style of ft legras or daum (e. Lachenal) from the art nouveau period, this rare orange blown glass carafe with enamelled mistletoe decoration on its 4 sides with gilding in good condition. No cracks or chips. Presence of air bubbles trapped during blowing. Stopper and handle in polished and gilded glass. This type of production can be attributed to the verreries & cristalleries de saint denis pantin and the quatre chemins réunies whose director at the age of 27 was the master glassmaker françois théodore legras (1839 -1916). We find this type of decoration in the book of michel and vitrat of 2012. We could also attribute it to the daum glassworks having collaborated with edmond lachenal for the design of a service with enameled decoration of mistletoe branches surrounded by gold well known in colorless glass. Design very close to this carafe. Superb old glassware rare on the market. Height 285 mm X 76 mm X 61 mm. Weight 580 g. Careful and tracked shipping. For information, a 2nd slightly smaller carafe is in stock with a very small defect in the upper part due to an air bubble making it look like a small crack when it is not one. Height 282 mm X 76 mm X 62 mm. Weight 560 g. Trace of the polished pontil for the 2 carafes bearing a number, 71 for one and 87 for the latter.
