VELVET BROWN CHROME ARMCHAIR 1970 IKEA VINTAGE

Exceptional and rare vintage scandinavian armchair by gillis lundgren, swedish designer for ikea in the 1970s, vintage dark brown velvet with large ribs. Tubular chrome metal structure, original velvet fabric for the seat and the 2 storage compartments. A lot of work for this product which was completely dismantled, cleaned and re-dyed to be what it is today! Without covers (head and body) originally, 2 covers were created by an upholsterer to be refilled with new foam for optimal comfort. Chrome in perfect condition and not stitched, the 4 zippers (head, seat, 2 magazine holders) work perfectly. 1 stitch was however necessary on the upper part on one side, which does not detract from the beautiful quality of this timeless designer product.
