Carlo Nason for Mazzega Murano Space Age pendant lamp with a light. Italy, 1960s

A rare italian suspension lamp with a light from the 1960s, attributable to carlo nason for mazzega murano. The sphere is made of opalescent glass of blue color and has been shaped to accommodate the support of the lamp in a recess of the glass at the base of the sphere and attached to the internal brass structure, as can be seen in the photo. When turned on, the chandelier therefore projects the light directly downwards and, at the same time, a pleasant diffuse brightness is created inside, also highlighting the irregular white lattimo band around the perimeter. The structure is made of burnished brass with a beautiful patina. The lamp is in good vintage condition compatible with age and use. The glass is intact, in good condition, has some minor imperfections due to manual work. The structure shows minimal traces of oxidation. The electrical cable has been replaced, the standard e27 lamp holder is original.
