Pair of "Flynn" cantilever dining chairs by Gastone Rinaldi for RIMA, 1970s

This iconic pair of “Flynn” (Pan Am series) dining chairs was designed by Italian master Gastone Rinaldi and manufactured by RIMA (Padova) during the early 1970s. A brilliant variation of his famous organic wire designs, this model features a striking dynamic “Z-shaped” cantilevered frame in chrome-plated tubular steel, reinforced by a sculptural central under-seat support stretcher. Excellent vintage condition. The chrome frames are structurally solid, showing no fractures or joint failures, and retain a brilliant mirror finish with only microscopic signs of age. The chairs feature their entirely original black leather sectional cushions, preserving an authentic and rich natural patina that enhances their mid-century character.
