Solid birch frame with a gently arched top rail and a carved medallion depicting a cluster of grapes and vine leaves. Swedish production, early 1900s. Made in Sweden during the early decades of the 20th century, this wall mirror is distinguished by a restrained decorative language, in which the clean lines of the frame are enhanced by a single ornamental element. The gently arched top rail is centred by a hand-carved oval depicting a cluster of grapes and vine leaves, a motif characteristic of Swedish craftsmanship of the period. The frame is crafted from solid birch, whose fine, even grain lends a natural luminosity to the surface. By concentrating the carving in a single focal point, the quality of the craftsmanship emerges without overwhelming the composition: the modelling of the vegetal motif stands out naturally against the perfectly smooth frame, creating a refined balance between structural simplicity and decorative richness. The reverse also reflects the care devoted to its construction. The mirror is enclosed by vertically assembled solid wood boards, a traditional construction method typical of the period that further attests to the authenticity of the piece. Good condition. It may show minor signs of age and use. Please pay close attention to the photographs. AG038
