Pair of curved wooden chairs, designed by August Thonet, son of Michael Thonet, a pioneer of curved wooden furniture. These chairs feature a recently reupholstered seat in a silk blend. August Thonet took over the family business in 1869. Dimensions: Height 91 cm, Width 43 cm, Depth 45 cm, Seat height 46 cm. Origin: Austria, circa 1900. Generally in good condition, with slight signs of wear due to age and use, including some scratches on the frame and a small dent on one leg.
