Mid-Century Stool by Sigfrid Omann for Ølholm Møbelfabrik, Denmark, 1960s

This stool was designed by Sigfrid Omann for the Danish furniture manufacturer Ølholm Møbelfabrik during the 1950s. The piece is distinguished by its light, elegant form and subtly sculpted construction, characteristic of Danish design from this period. The frame is crafted from solid beech wood. Slender, gently tapered legs and softly sculpted structural elements give the stool harmonious proportions and a sense of visual lightness. The frame has undergone comprehensive woodworking restoration. The wood was stripped of the old coating, stained in an oak colour, and finished with a durable high-quality semi-matt lacquer. The seat is made from hand-woven rattan and remains in its original, very good condition.
