Former shipping crate

This very old shipping box made our imagination wander along the docks of hamburg in the 1930s. In quality wood with well-made fittings, the whole is beautifully made. The black inscriptions, still clearly visible with their period industrial font, evoke a former german factory of the saar. The large size and the super factory look of the case with a removable lid offer many possibilities for decoration. Lounge table, bar, storage box, toy box. We cleaned it and applied the renovator to the wood, always with the concern to preserve all its authenticity. It has many traces of use that bear witness to its utilitarian past that has lived well and this adds to its charm. It remains in very good condition and the lid closures work perfectly. It is an exceptional piece for a décor that is meant to be singular.
