Napoleon III lamp in white opaline with golden stars.

Charming bedside lamp made from an antique Napoleon III white opaline carafe, delicately sprinkled with small golden stars. The carafe, dating from the 19th century, was transformed into a lamp probably in the 1950s-1960s and mounted on a gilded metal base with a beaded decoration. Its scattering of hand-painted stars gives it a lot of charm and a very poetic appearance when illuminated. The old base is in fairly good condition. The vast majority of the golden stars are still present, with some fading mainly in the upper part. Signs of old glue are visible at the junction between the opaline and the metal base, related to its adaptation as a lamp. It comes with a pleated lampshade in ecru fabric, adorned with white and gold trimmings. Subsequent and functional electrification. B22 bayonet socket. Dimensions with lampshade: Height: 36 cm.
