Antique stool / piano stool - upholstered, probably France - Napoleon III, circa 1880

Antique stool, probably of French origin, dating from around 1880. Its structure rests on four turned legs, connected by decorative stretchers. The wood is likely walnut. The seat is padded and covered with new velvet fabric. The seat height is about 48 cm. Condition: This stool is heavy and sturdy. All joints have been checked. The upholstery is firm and the cover as well as the seat cushion have been replaced. A beautiful collector's piece in good condition, ready for use.
