Watercolor signed Darta landscape river and forest

Very beautiful watercolor on thick paper (canson type) representing a forest landscape on the banks of a river perhaps at daybreak or nightfall, in black, brown, orange tones. It is signed darta, I have not found any information on the artist, except that another work by this artist is on sale at a parisian antique dealer which dates it from the first half of the 20th century. But we notice the quality, the finesse of the drawing, he is an artist who deserves to be known! The work is fixed on a larger and thinner sheet by two glue dots (probably easily detachable because on one side the glue dots have fallen). This support is much lighter around than under the watercolor (beige against ecru), probably a discoloration due to exposure to natural light, which would more or less confirm the fairly old dating of the other work signed by this artist.the watercolor is in rather good condition, no tears or fold marks, a few lighter spots, original or not, difficult to tell, and a few lighter "lines", very slightly visible up close on the dark parts like the trunks. The watercolor measures 42cm by 27.5cm, the backing paper measures 50cm by 40cm. The set will be shipped flat, protected as best as possible from humidity by plastic packaging.
