Small antique polychrome children's chair – French folk art

Charming little antique children's chair made of painted wood. A piece full of character, representative of French popular furniture, which has retained its beautiful original grey and red polychromy. The paint shows a particularly appealing natural wear, with touches of red on the edges, the uprights, and the carved balls of the backrest. Its traditional construction without visible screws, its curved armrests, and its woven seat give it a rustic and authentic charm. Condition: Very beautiful preserved old patina. Structure perfectly stable, with no play. The woven seat is still very solid despite two or three broken strands. The front retaining bar, originally present, is missing. The original fixing holes are visible on the front uprights. Dimensions: * Total height: 51 cm. * Seat height: 18 cm. * Seat dimensions: 26 × 30 cm. A lovely piece of folk art, ideal for decoration in a country house, a rustic interior, or an antique furniture collection.
