Set of 7 'Cesca' dining chairs by Marcel Breuer.

This set of 7 'Cesca' dining chairs, designed in 1928 by Marcel Breuer, was produced in Italy in 1985. It is uncertain whether they were made by Knoll or if they are copies, as the Cesca chair is the most copied chair in the world and Breuer never registered copyright for this model. However, these cane chairs are very beautiful, the beech wood is perfectly joined at the corners, and the cane weaving is carefully integrated into the frame. The chrome steel is cold to the touch and the entire construction is very solid. There is also an inscription 'made in Italy' and '12/85' under the seats. There are some signs of use on the edges of the backs and small stains on the tubes, but overall, the set is in very good vintage condition.
