Scandinavian blue sandstone lamp by Inger Persson for Rörstrand, Sweden 1960

Scandinavian ceramic desk or bedside lamp, designed by Inger Persson for the Swedish manufacturer Rörstrand in the 1960s. The base is made of natural stoneware and glazed in a deep turquoise blue, enhanced with decorative striations. This contrast between the raw earth and the glossy glaze is characteristic of Inger Persson's work. The lamp is signed on the reverse and retains its original electrical assembly.
