Scandinavian chest of drawers in rosewood | Vintage 1960

This Scandinavian chest of drawers in rosewood perfectly embodies the modernist spirit of the 1960s and 1970s. With its compact dimensions (58 cm in length and 53 cm in height), it easily fits as a generous bedside table, an entryway piece, or an accent piece in a contemporary living room. This item immediately stands out due to the richness of its grain. Indeed, rosewood offers a contrasting veining with deep brown and amber hues. Additionally, its elevated tapered legs visually lighten the whole and give it a particularly airy silhouette. On the front, the four drawers create a harmonious geometric composition. Each drawer features a square brushed metal handle with a round inset. This graphic detail typical of the era adds a bright touch that highlights the character of this Scandinavian chest of drawers in rosewood. With its arrangement of four independent drawers, this Scandinavian chest of drawers in rosewood provides practical storage space to organise your everyday items. The drawers slide smoothly and have clean interiors. To preserve the authenticity of its grain, the piece has been meticulously cleaned, sanded, and nourished in the workshop. It is now in very good vintage condition. Although some minor signs of use may remain, bearing witness to its history, its structure remains sound, stable, and robust.
