This superb vintage pitcher is made of villeroy & boch earthenware. All round, he can serve tea, coffee or water at the table. Blue and cream in color, it is two-tone. This orleans model dates from the 1950s. It can be dated quite precisely by the mention economic union france saar in the signature: this union of saar county was established between 1947 and 1956. It bears the brand "villeroy et boch - mettlach - economic union france saar" and measures 14.5 X 16 cm. In good condition, I report cracks in the enamel and very small chips.
