A planter that catches everyone's eye! Antique ceramic piece from the Le Bruyn factory from the 40s and 50s. Its typical art deco refined style, highlighted by an exceptional color – a flamboyant enamel in shades of purple with draped effects in shades of beige and blue at the corners and on the handles – gives it a unique and refined character. We love its geometric shape with cut sides, its two rather graphic handles typical of the art deco aesthetic, its rare enamel, much more unusual than the traditional green and brown of slip planters. Stamp of the Le Bruyn factory: The capital letter "B", accompanied by the number 203, numbering practices at De Bruyn, even if sometimes more commonly there is also a marine anchor in addition. The Gustave De Bruyn earthenware factory (1838–1916) was founded in Lille, in the Fives district, by Gustave De Bruyn, from a line of Belgian potters. End of the company in 1962. As a decoration, it can accommodate an indoor plant, serve as a decorative pot or simply be displayed as a collector's item. Its style goes just as well with a chic flea market atmosphere as with a more contemporary interior where it will act as a colorful and original touch. Height 10 cm, length 26 cm, 12 cm at the widest. Good general condition, shiny enamel, some slight signs of use normal for its age, cracks related to time, a mini chip on each corner of the two handles (see Photos). A rare model, both decorative and sought-after, ideal for collectors or lovers of vintage pieces.
