1950s schoolmaster's desk in solid oak

Beautiful piece of furniture from a primary school in Normandy. This desk is made of solid oak and dates from the 50s. It is in beautiful vintage condition. Healthy, stable and solid furniture. It has been completely cleaned and refreshed. The golden oak wood has its original patina, there are a few small stains. The tubular base has its original green paint which has patinated over time. The top has been painted matt green and protected with a resistant matt varnish as well. A vintage-inspired geometric fabric has been applied to the bottom of the drawers. The drawers slide easily and all the locks work and have a key. Note that all of these vintage pieces of furniture retain traces of their previous lives despite a long and careful renovation.
