This adjustable bentwood bar stool was designed and produced by the famous Thonet Company. The chair can be found in the Thonet sales catalogues dating back to the end of the 19th century as model No.5011 F. This particular piece is believed to be produced around 1920’s in the Thonet’s factories that are now part of the Czech Republic. The seat can be adjusted up or down from cm 67 to 87 cm by simply winding the seat round. The natural beauty of the wood is showing in every detail. The trademark Thonet technology of bending wood together with the perfectly balanced proportions of each form makes this piece a great addition to any modern, Scandi or more traditional interior. The stool can be used as a bar, lounge or a side chair. The chair has been recently restored to its former glory and is in great vintage condition. Our experienced furniture restorer has revived the beautiful natural pattern of the wood which was subsequently finished by hand in Shellac varnish. There is some minimal wear and patina gained over the last 100 years.
