Nice Russian Khokhloma vase, in black laqué metal and floral motifs, hand-painted. The vase has a decoration of colorful flowers, painted on the hairsa surcharge. The inside of the vase is gilded, it has a trace of old label peeled under the base. Khokhloma is the name of a traditional craft that appeared in Russia in the mid-17th century, in small villages on the left bank of the volga, including khokhloma. Lay decoration of furniture and crockery. The motifs are floral or represent strawberries or sorber berries, sometimes birds and fish. But more often than not they are floral volutes, as here on this vase. This craft was revitalized in the 1930s during the Soviet period, and especially from the 1960s for tourism. 20th century - 1960s-1970s. Height: 24 cm - Body diameter: 13 cm - Neck diameter: 7 cm. Very nice condition, no shrapnel, no scratches. Sending fast and neat, in parcel followed Colissimo or Point Relay.
