Cup and saucer Salins France in powdered pink earthenware – 1950s-60s

Set consisting of a cup and its saucer in pink glazed earthenware. Stamped Salins: based in the Jura, it is one of the great French ceramic houses of the 20th century, renowned for the quality of its glazes and elegant lines. It has produced many services with minimalist shapes that are now sought after for their vintage aesthetic. In good vintage condition, with a shiny and even glaze. There is a very slight network of firing cracks visible on the saucer, along with a few discreet signs of use consistent with its age (see photos). Cup: diameter 9.5 cm – height 4.5 cm Saucer: diameter 14 cm. A piece where the colour alone is enough to create the decor.
