Vintage vase from HSG Tarnowiec glassworks (Poland, 1970s), made of semi-transparent glass with a satin finish in a warm, amber-beige tone. The colour of the glass is more intense at the solid, profiled base and gradually lightens towards the top, becoming more diffused. The harmoniously rounded bowl with a distinct horizontal rim is set on a massive pedestal, and the smooth, symmetrical contours emphasise the balance between elegance of form and functionality, typical of Central European utility design of the 1970s. The vase is not decorated with any additional ornament or texture – the focus is on the purity of lines, proportions, and the charm of coloured glass. The surface is smooth, with no visible damage or cracks. The condition is very good, typical for glass of this era that has not been heavily used. This vase retains the restrained character of the 1970s, when Polish interiors were dominated by simple but expressive forms, seeking a compromise between moderate elegance and practicality. The warm amber shade, slightly misted by the satin surface, evokes the soft light of sunny afternoons. This is an item that – like a witness to the return to everyday beauty – subtly diffuses light in the room, bringing an atmosphere of calm and natural balance.
