Cassina Grandangolo Tre Sofa - Francesco Binfaré - Very good condition

"2.5-seater" Grandangolo sofa by Cassina, designed by Francesco Binfaré, in off-white/beige fabric. The sofa measures 180 cm in width and features two seats and two independent backrests. However, it is wide enough to comfortably seat three people. The armrests are thick, with sharp angles and bevelled tops. The base is upholstered in fabric and rests on cylindrical satin-finished aluminium legs. The off-white fabric has a tight weave, with carefully crafted piping. Grandangolo means "wide angle" in Italian. This corresponds to the wide, low seat and the very open appearance of the sofa. Francesco Binfaré (born in Milan in 1939) long directed the research centre at Cassina. He designed the Topkapi sofa, the Girotonda armchair, and the Pelope chairs for the brand. He has also created numerous pieces for Edra (On the Rocks, Flap). In very good condition, first hand. Dimensions: L180xD75xH70. Steel structure.
