Extendable dining table in cherry wood, Søren Nissen & Ebbe Gehl, Denmark

Designed in the 1970s by the Danish duo Søren Nissen & Ebbe Gehl, this table embodies the best of Scandinavian design: clean lines, genuine warmth, and great simplicity of use. Its oval top and structure are covered with a beautiful cherry veneer in reddish-brown/orange tones, resting on solid wood legs. The surface has been protected by a bubble wrap tablecloth, but a few very light marks are present and visible in the photos. Its true strength lies in its versatility. It measures 154.5 cm wide for everyday meals, then expands with its two extensions: the first matches the wood of the table to reach approximately 200 cm, and the second (different colour) extends it to 250 cm. The extension system works very well, but note: the small lock that secures the top once unfolded is worn and does not lock as well as before. This is a minor flaw, easy to repair or replace. We are selling it because it no longer matches the wood of our decor, but with regret. A very beautiful Scandinavian piece.
