Emerald green glass vase with gold floral decor and cut details

Period: ca. Early 20th century this emerald green glass vase has a beautifully executed gold brocade effect decoration. A band of thick gold contains delicate floral decoration in the negative and several details such as stems and daisy-shaped flowers have been etched and cut into the glass. A frieze of ovals has been cut on the neck of the vase and near the base. A thick golden band adorns the foot and a frieze of stylized leaves adorns the edge. It is made of blown glass. This vase exudes superior quality thanks to the combined techniques of gilding and cutting. Condition: very good. No damage. Two small spots in the gold band near the edge (see photo). Dimensions: 23.7 cm height, 9.5 cm base diameter, 0.620 kg.
