Friend of Paul Claudel, George Braque, Jean Cocteau, or Modigliani, we owe to Henry de Waroquier a large fresco at the Palais de Chaillot in Paris, and many works exhibited at the Musée d'Orsay, the museums of modern art of Paris and Strasbourg, the museums of Fine Arts of Brussels, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes ... But also at the Ohara Art Museum in Japan, the Laurier Museum in Canada, or the SMK in Copenhagen. Long studies at the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle led Henry de Waroquier to experiment with gypsum engraving, a technique with which he produced this work.
