Vintage Art Deco / Mid-Century table lamp base, iconic of the French brand Mazda. This type of light fixture, often referred to as a ship's lamp, is characterised by its slender structure made of light turned wood and its brass trim finishes. Originally, these lamp bases were topped with a bowl or a reflector made of white opaline glass that diffused a soft light. Condition: Some marks on the wood varnish. Signs of oxidation on the brass.
