Pair of brutalist armchairs by Dittman & CO for AWA Radboud

Pair of Brutalist solid oak lounge chairs by Dittmann & Co for AWA IC, Netherlands, c. 1970s. They are constructed with a sculptural, curved, and rounded slatted seat and back. The sloping seat and back design make these low lounge chairs extremely comfortable, perfect for relaxing by the fire. They were originally finished with a dark varnish, so they have been fully sanded and oiled to bring out the wood. The workmanship resembles that of Guillerme and Chambron. They are very stable. Seat height: 40cm.
