Art Nouveau ashtray in pewter signed L. Kann, foundry Siot-Decauville

Rare Art Nouveau vide-poche in tin, finely modelled with a naturalistic decoration of nasturtium leaves and flowers. This piece is signed L. Kann (Léon Kann, a sculptor active at the end of the 19th century) and bears the stamp of the Parisian foundry Siot-Decauville, a major reference in art casting around 1900. The soft and organic modelling, characteristic of Art Nouveau, reflects a high-quality craftsmanship. Dimensions: approx. 11 × 13 cm. Very good antique condition, with slight signs of use consistent with age; no restoration. Refined and sought-after object.
